The man behind our success
After
studying business management and a year in New York City, Michel
Sahuc, son of a batten-maker (manufacturer of battens
and shuttles for ribbon looms), entered the narrow woven fabrics
trade at a very early stage in his professional career, working
as an Export Sales Manager.

The businessman of yesterday
In
March 1990, take-over of an old family business in Lyon: Passementerie
BOURDON which, in the 1970s, had the clever idea of creating a manufacturing
plant in Jonzieux
(Loire 42), a village with a long history in the passementerie
trade.
The businessman of today
Cottage
industry passementerie has almost totally disappeared and has now
been replaced by integrated plants.
The machinery has been modernised and the various techniques used
are now complementary. Our archives house extensive documentation
on most hand-woven articles.
Our job consists of adapting the spirit of these treasures of the
past to our own industrial craft techniques. |
